Teen Initiatives and Programming

Advocacy for teenagers is one of the things we do best! We believe that a variety of quality informal Jewish experiences enrich the lives of our youth and help to nurture a Jewish identity that will last a lifetime.

The Jewish Education Center is dedicated to supporting our institutional partners, youth groups, and educators working directly with Cleveland Jewish teenagers and their families. The Jewish Education Center also runs a number of teen programs throughout the year through @akiva.

@akiva is committed to Jewish, Israel and Hebrew education as foundations of Jewish identity. It serves teens across the community, coordinating and enhancing Jewish-themed programming for synagogues, Jewish youth organizations, Jewish day schools, public and private high schools, and families.

@akiva’s innovative thinking, strong content-based programs, extensive outreach, and entrepreneurial way of engaging teens set it apart as the premier, interdenominational center in Cleveland that is building the next generation of Jewish leaders.

@akiva regularly adds program offerings to reflect the ever-evolving needs of Jewish teens in Cleveland. Check out the exciting opportunities and see what’s new by visiting www.akivacleveland.org or call 216.367.1388.

The Youth Professionals Network (YPN) convenes throughout the school year to plan and coordinate community activities designed especially for teens. In addition, members of the YPN discuss issues of common concern and focus on areas of adolescent development.
