JEC Teen Initiatives and Programming

As advocates for quality teen education, we believe that a variety of quality informal and experiential Jewish experiences will enrich the lives of our youth and will help to nurture a Jewish identity that will last forever.

This is why the Jewish Education Center is dedicated to supporting our institutional partners, youth groups, and educators working directly with Cleveland Jewish teenagers and their families. The Jewish Education Center also runs a number of teen programs throughout the year through @akiva. These non-denominational programs are available to any teen living in the Cleveland. Visit www.akivacleveland.org for more information.

The Youth Professionals Network (YPN) convenes monthly to plan and coordinate community activities designed especially for teens. In addition, members of the YPN discuss issues of common concern and focus on areas of adolescent development. The YPN has developed a Teen Leadership Council to serve as programmatic partners in creating community-wide events.
