Star Icon Program of- Bellefaire JCB
The mission of the Jewish Youth Mentoring program is to aid in the development of confident, responsible and caring individuals by providing high-quality, professionally supported mentoring services and programs to Jewish children and their families.
Alexa Lipp, Director
Bellefaire JCB’s Jewish Youth Mentoring program matches caring adult volunteers (Bigs) with Jewish children (Littles) ages 6 to 18 based on similar interests and personalities. Our Littles come from a diverse variety of backgrounds and needs. These one-on-one mentoring matches help children and teens become self-sufficient, healthy and productive individuals by pairing them with a positive adult role model. The strength and success of Bellefaire’s Jewish Youth Mentoring program reflect our experience and the commitment to providing supporting matches with licensed counselors and social workers.
Children enroll in our program for many reasons. Some come from single-parent households, others are navigating major family changes, and many are simply working to build stronger friendships and social connections. Whatever the circumstance, any Jewish child who could benefit from having a mentor in their life is eligible for the program. Our “Bigs” are 21 years or older and are thoroughly screened to ensure the safety and well-being of all program participants.
The Jewish Youth Mentoring program is free for participants.
