JFSA Achieving Potential: Community Support Services

Community Support Services are designed to help people with mental illness by providing the support they need to live successfully in the community.

Debbie Chickering, Executive Director

Case Management (CPST, TBS, PSR)
Assistance is provided for daily activities, such as paying bills, doing chores, exercising or getting along with others. Most services are provided in community settings where problems may occur and support is needed rather than in staff offices or clinics.

Social Recreation & Wellness
Mental health clients play in team sports, lift weights, and participate in aerobic exercises at the Mandel Jewish Community Center in Beachwood, Ohio. Other activities include field trips to museums, apple orchards, the zoo and sporting events. Dances, holiday parties and movie nights are also planned on a regular basis.
