Ganon Gil's mission is to provide children with love in a caring atmosphere so that they can learn the social, emotional, physical and cognitive skills that they will need now and in the future.

It is housed in the beautiful Temple, Beachwood. Rabbis Jonathan Cohen, Roger C. Klein and Stacy Schlein, and Cantor Kathryn Wolfe Sebo participate in programming, along with The Temple's outstanding Judaic education team.

The students have access to The Temple's state-of-the-art library and resource center, the sanctuary, and a brand new playground.

The Temple's renowned Museum of Religious Art and the Maltz Museum of Jewish Heritage, adjacent to The Temple, are also available to the students and their families as unique educational resources.  Ganon Gil offers high quality care and education for children ages 6 weeks to 5 years old.  We are a 5 star rated Step Up to Quality and we are endorsed by the Cuyahoga County's Invest In Children's UPK Program.  Being a UPK School we receive a monetary grant that which enables us to further enhance and sustain high quality education standards and programming.  Families who meet the eligibility requirements can receive a 33% scholarship on preschool and daycare fees.

The program offers;

  • Temple Arts Program- The goal is for the children to feel comfortable in a museum or gallery and develop a sense of wonder and to build on inquiry skills.  The Temple's Museum Director visits with the 3 year olds and Pre-K children and they visit The Temple, University Circle, The Maltz Museum of Jewish Heritage, and the different galleries in the Temple, Beachwood as they study different works of Judaic art.
  • Weekly Library visits/Story Time with The Temple Librarians in a state-of-the-art facility.  That has a comprehensive Jewish resource for the entire congregation, preschool families and community.  Among the collection of over 25,000 materials are Judaic resources, award winning fiction and nonfiction for children and adults, as well as a large selection of videos, DVDs, audio books, music and periodicals.
  • Gym Class-Weekly an outside Gymnastic company comes to the school during the core morning and provides a gymnastics class during the class' scheduled gross motor time.  This is not an additional fee for the parents.  The program is funded through our Quality Enhancement dollars awarded to Ganon Gil through Invest in Children's Universal Pre-K initiative.
  • Weekly music and Shabbat Celebration with music specialist and Temple Clergy.
  • Weekly HTM classes (Hebrew Through Movement-an approach to teaching Hebrew to children)
